As their public sector backlog continues to grow, they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to oversee K-12 and municipal construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

Job Description

Glimpse of your role:

  • Manage multiple public and K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and buyout processes.
  • Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, school districts, and public agencies.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project financial performance, identifying and mitigating cost risks.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and collaborate with field leadership to drive successful project execution.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience managing public sector construction projects, preferably K-12 schools.
  • Strong knowledge of public bidding procedures, project documentation, and contract administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
