About Our Client

Our client is a well-established general contractor with approximately 85-90 employees and a strong reputation in federal government and commercial construction. The company delivers complex projects across secure government facilities, historic landmarks, mission-critical environments, and international locations, maintaining long-standing relationships with major federal agencies and repeat clients.

Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, the organization is seeking a Quality Control Manager to support project execution and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained. The Quality Control Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects while working alongside experienced leadership and construction professionals.

Job Description

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for managing and executing project quality control requirements while working closely with project teams, clients, government representatives, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and owner expectations.
  • Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control (QC) plans.
  • Manage quality control processes across multiple trades and concurrent construction activities.
  • Prepare material submittals for architect/engineer and government review.
  • Produce detailed daily reports using electronic reporting systems.
  • Conduct daily field inspections and verify delivered materials match approved submittals.
  • Review and approve project design deliverables prior to government submission.
  • Maintain and review RFIs, submittal logs, maintenance logs, and other project documentation.
  • Develop QC punch lists and coordinate completion with subcontractors.
  • Lead preparatory meetings and quality-focused project discussions as required by contract.
  • Collaborate with superintendents, clients, and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
  • Support additional project quality initiatives as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Current USACE Construction Quality Control (CQC) Certification.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience serving as a QC Manager.
  • Previous experience as a CQC Inspector and/or QC Manager on Department of Defense projects.
  • Strong knowledge of federal construction standards and quality control procedures.
  • Experience managing documentation, submittals, RFIs, and project quality records.
  • Ability to conduct inspections and maintain compliance on secure government facilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities with project stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Eligible to successfully complete federal background checks and obtain access to secure facilities.
