They are consistently focused on developing a better future for their customers and their employees, to deliver safe and effective infrastructure solutions.Job DescriptionOversee daily Quality department operations across manufacturing and shipping functions while supporting continuous improvement initiatives at the plant level.Provide leadership and direction to the Quality team to ensure evolving customer quality expectations and requirements are met.Lead and maintain documentation for customer complaint investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Conduct and document investigations into product and component nonconformances to identify underlying causes and preventive measures.Enhance customer satisfaction by proactively reducing quality issues and minimizing customer complaints.Partner with the Value Stream Manager to develop and deliver training related to quality standards, measurement equipment, quality notifications, procedural updates, and related topics.Maintain robust process control systems that emphasize built-in quality practices and reduce internal defects and rework.Perform regular internal quality system audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and ensure ongoing effectiveness.Develop competency-based qualification programs for incoming Quality Assurance Technicians and track proficiency using a skills matrix.Manage customer relationships and address product compliance matters with regulatory and certification agencies, including UL and CSA.Analyze and communicate quality performance metrics and trends to plant leadership and management teams.Support cost-reduction efforts and operational improvement projects through the application of quality methodologies and tools, including FMEA, SPC, Gage R&R, process capability studies, Pareto analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma techniques.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
