Job Description

  • Lead and mentor the quality inspection team, ensuring consistent, accurate execution of inspection processes across all stages of production
  • Perform hands-on inspections (incoming, in-process, and final) to verify product quality and adherence to specifications
  • Develop, complete, and review First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements
  • Drive quality assurance by maintaining adherence to ISO standards and relevant industry or military specifications
  • Manage corrective and preventive action processes, including identifying issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions
  • Act as a key point of contact for supplier quality concerns, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Oversee final product testing and ensure all required quality documentation is accurate and complete prior to shipment
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to inspection methods, documentation, and overall quality workflows

The Successful Applicant

  • Hands-on quality professional with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in inspection across incoming, in-process, and final stages
  • Proven ability to lead or support small teams in a quality setting
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and familiarity with industry or military specifications
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
