Job Description

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS for precision-machined components.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and technical documentation to create effective inspection methodologies.
  • Design and implement fixturing, tooling, and setup strategies to achieve accurate and repeatable measurement results.
  • Interpret customer specifications, engineering standards, and GD&T requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct product inspections and testing activities to verify adherence to design and quality requirements.
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies to validate inspection processes.
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation, including Control Plans, Inspection Plans, First Article Inspections (FAI), and PPAP packages.
  • Ensure quality processes and documentation remain aligned with customer, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, machining, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on CMM programming experience utilizing PC-DMIS and/or MCOSMOS.
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or related disciplines.
  • Strong expertise in GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and advanced inspection techniques.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Experience conducting quality inspections and quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, SPC, and measurement analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with Supplier Quality and aerospace machining suppliers is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing PPAP processes and quality documentation.
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
