This is a hands-on Quality leadership position where you'll drive daily inspection operations, lead the quality team, and ensure compliance across a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining quality standards, executing inspections, and directly influencing product acceptance and customer satisfaction.
  • Owns full quality execution: inspections, CMM and real-time decisions.
  • Highly hands-on leadership role in a regulated defense manufacturing environment

Job Description



Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9120)
  • Perform and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Make accept/reject/hold decisions and document in ERP
  • Execute and approve First Article Inspections (FAIRs)
  • Program and operate CMM equipment; train team members
  • Lead inspection team workload, priorities, and accountability
  • Manage calibration (M&TE) and ensure compliance
  • Support source inspections, audits, and customer requirements
  • Drive Corrective Actions (CARs) and continuous improvement
  • Track and report quality KPIs (defects, returns, OTD, trends)

The Successful Applicant



Ideal Candidate:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or 10+ years of hands-on experience
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing
  • Strong expertise in GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Hands-on experience with CMM and inspection tools
  • Prior experience as a QC Manager or Senior/Lead Inspector
  • Proven ability to drive quality improvements and team performance
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor, not just system oversight
