The Quality Manager will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, as well as external manufacturing partners, to build scalable, best-in-class quality systems aligned with a fast-moving consumer brand.

Job Description

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across finished goods, raw materials, contract manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (FDA, MoCRA, IFRA, GMP, ISO, Prop 65, etc.)
  • Support product safety documentation, regulatory submissions, and compliance programs
  • Monitor and respond to evolving regulatory requirements impacting beauty and fragrance products



Manufacturing & Supplier Quality

  • Act as the primary quality contact for contract manufacturers, labs, and third-party suppliers
  • Conduct supplier audits, quality reviews, and ongoing performance assessments
  • Review and approve batch records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and quality documentation
  • Lead investigations into deviations, complaints, and non-conformances, including CAPA development and follow-up



Product Quality & Lifecycle Support

  • Partner with Product Development on new launches, reformulations, and scale-up activities
  • Review and approve specifications for raw materials, components, and finished goods
  • Support stability, compatibility, and shelf-life testing programs
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle



Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen quality processes, reduce risk, and improve efficiency
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics and trends
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across internal teams and external partners

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Quality Manager/Director should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related scientific discipline
  • 5-8+ years of quality experience within beauty, cosmetics, fragrance, personal care, or adjacent CPG categories
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, FDA cosmetic regulations, MoCRA, IFRA standards, and supplier quality management
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global suppliers
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
