Job Description

  • Lead and oversee all quality department activities, ensuring alignment with production demands and customer requirements
  • Serve as the primary quality leader, directing quality assurance policies, programs, and strategic initiatives
  • Review, verify, and manage technical data packages (TDP), including drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
  • Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies while supporting internal and external engineering teams
  • Develop internal documentation, work instructions, and production support materials
  • Support and optimize production lines, including both automated and manual assembly operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, flow, and variation reduction
  • Lead technical planning, validation, system integration, and risk assessments for manufacturing processes
  • Manage corrective action programs, including tracking and resolution of customer and supplier issues
  • Act as the key interface with customers regarding all quality-related concerns and audits
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of quality equipment to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensure adherence to ISO and AS9100 requirements, including FAIR and first-piece certifications
  • Implement and manage manufacturing training programs across production teams
  • Support tooling development, equipment requirements, and process troubleshooting initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality leadership or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO quality systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, system diagrams, and schematics
  • Experience working with technical documentation and engineering change processes
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Word, Visio, SolidWorks, or similar software
  • Experience working in regulated environments (aerospace, defense, or electronics manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in both hands-on and strategic leadership capacities
