Job Description

  • Develop project plans, scope, timelines, and resources
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to meet project deliverables
  • Translate customer needs into product specifications
  • Conduct research, competitive analysis, and testing
  • Design and develop prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Perform feasibility analysis using engineering principles
  • Utilize modeling tools to analyze systems and data
  • Develop and execute test methods and validation plans
  • Write technical reports and present findings
  • Author and review engineering change orders (ECOs)
  • Lead issue tracking, risk analysis, and resolution
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing
  • Support lifecycle activities for new and existing products
  • Improve processes, tools, and development methods
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulations
  • Serve as customer advocate throughout development

The Successful Applicant

A successful R&D Engineer should have:

  • BS in Engineering or related field + 3 years experience
  • Or MS degree with 1+ year experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (molding, extrusion)
  • Experience with RCA tools (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Detail‑oriented with strong time management
  • Familiarity with MS Office and MS Project a plus
