This role is hybrid out of their NYC office.Job DescriptionPrepare, review, and organize legal documents related to property transactions.Prepare and revise entity formation and governance documents, including operating agreements, limited partnership agreements, formation certificates, incumbency certificates, written consents, resolutions, amendments, and other corporate documents, based on transaction requirements and direction from leadership.Review title, survey, and title commitments and coordinate and prepare responses to title and survey comments from counterparties.Perform due diligence, coordinate transactions, and work with the team to close affordable housing transactions.Conduct legal research to support the legal team's work.Assist in maintaining and updating case files and legal records.Coordinate with external parties such as attorneys, title companies, and clients.Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations and deadlines.Provide administrative support to the legal department as needed.Manage and track legal correspondence and filings.Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
