Job Description

  • Serve as the owner of reliability performance measurement, analysis, and reporting across multiple product lines and customer programs.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with contractual reliability requirements, including MTBF, MDBF, fleet defect thresholds, and other key performance metrics.
  • Develop and manage robust processes for collecting, reconciling, classifying, and analyzing failure data.
  • Lead FRACAS activities, reliability trend analysis, and failure investigations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to investigate recurring failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Produce executive-level reliability reports, dashboards, and performance reviews for leadership and customer stakeholders.
  • Act as the central point of contact for reliability data integrity, ensuring alignment between internal teams, customers, and end users.
  • Drive reliability risk identification and escalation through proactive monitoring and statistical analysis.
  • Validate the effectiveness of corrective actions through post-implementation performance measurement.
  • Support customer discussions with clear, traceable, and data-backed reliability evidence

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, RAM/RAMS, FRACAS, quality engineering, or similar technical disciplines.
  • Experience within rail, rolling stock, transportation, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other reliability-driven industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FRACAS, FAR processes, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Advanced statistical analysis skills, including reliability modeling, failure rate analysis, trend analysis, and Weibull methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and transform findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical information to customers and leadership teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer locations and operational sites as required.
