Job Description

  • Design and develop test methods, procedures, and validation strategies for new and existing technologies.
  • Serve as the technical owner of assigned test stands and laboratory assets, ensuring proper functionality and reliability.
  • Define equipment requirements, system configurations, and testing capabilities to support product development.
  • Develop and execute reliability test plans, protocols, and qualification activities for new products.
  • Perform hands-on bench testing, fixture development, and laboratory troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct failure analysis of electro-mechanical systems and components to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Partner with hardware and software engineering teams to investigate product failures and improve system performance.
  • Generate technical reports that document failure investigations, test results, and reliability improvements.
  • Support DFMEA initiatives and provide recommendations that reduce risk early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Manage laboratory resources, test schedules, calibration activities, and documentation to maintain operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, electrical design, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with semiconductor equipment, robotic systems, or other complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause investigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and technical documentation.
  • Experience with reliability testing equipment such as environmental chambers, vibration tables, and test stands is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, microscopy techniques, materials characterization methods, and SEMI standards is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a hands-on laboratory environment with a strong focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
