Job Description

  • Manage daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with local building codes.
  • Review project plans and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Resolve any on-site disputes or challenges effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Long Island Superintendent should have:

  • Experience with managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and team members.
