Job Description

The position will report directly into the RF Engineering Manager and be responsible for

  • Designing mechanical packaging, enclosures, and assemblies for RF/microwave products
  • Supporting mechanical hardware design from initial concept through detailed release
  • Collaborating with RF, electrical, test, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams
  • Developing and maintaining design specifications and ensuring compliance in final products
  • Creating and modifying CAD models and drawings to support new and existing designs
  • Supporting chip, wire, and microelectronic assembly processes
  • Working hands‑on with technicians to build and assemble prototype and engineering hardware
  • Designing fixtures to support testing and advanced manufacturing techniques
  • Supporting operations in transitioning new products into full‑rate production
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating engineering documentation and records

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience, including senior‑level responsibility
  • Experience with electronic packaging and enclosure design
  • Working knowledge of RF/microwave packaging challenges
  • Familiarity with chip and wire assembly processes
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing practices for mechanical components and assemblies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
