Job Description

  • Lead and support plant‑wide safety initiatives to maintain OSHA and CONN‑OSHA compliance
  • Coordinate and administer safety programmes including PPE, LOTO, forklift safety, machine guarding, and emergency procedures
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and production floor walkthroughs
  • Identify hazards and partner with leadership on corrective actions and prevention strategies
  • Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, safety records, and compliance documentation
  • Support manufacturing quality systems, inspections, and product verification processes
  • Analyse trends related to defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Coordinate and deliver employee training for safety, quality, and manufacturing compliance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 7S, and visual workplace standards
  • Assist with internal audits, customer audits, and compliance reviews

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing safety, quality, or industrial compliance roles
  • OSHA 30‑Hour General Industry certification (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems and root cause methodologies
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience preferred
  • Strong documentation, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence shop‑floor teams and drive accountability
