Job Description

The Safety Manager - Commercial GC - Columbia will be expected to:

  • Developing Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Conducting Safety Training
  • Performing Safety Inspections
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Emergency Response Planning
  • Run Safety Meetings
  • Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Continuous Improvement
  • PPE Management
  • Subcontractor Coordination

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Safety Manager - Commercial GC - Columbia should possess the following qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working in Safety for a General Contractor or Subcontractor within the construction industry
  • Experience managing safety standards on project sites with over 25 workers
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to run meetings & motivate others
  • Positive attitude, punctual, great communication skills
  • Tech savvy, great with construction management software systems and Apple products
  • OSHA 30 certification, more advanced certifications desired but not required (OSHA 500 etc)
