Job Description

  • Direct and manage the safety team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Establish departmental goals, priorities, and resource allocation to support company-wide safety objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters across all projects and offices.
  • Program Development & Compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and other applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the creation and review of project-specific safety plans (SSPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Conduct regular job-site safety audits and inspections across active electrical construction projects.
  • Risk Management & Reporting.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Track and report safety metrics (TRIR, near misses, leading indicators) to senior leadership.
  • Identify trends and implement proactive measures to reduce risk.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Safety Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction safety, preferably in electrical contracting.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; CHST, STS-C, or CSP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to jobsites.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
