Job Description

The Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and enforcing site safety programs across one or multiple active construction sites
  • Ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EM 385‑1‑1, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conducting site safety audits, inspections, and investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Leading safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for project teams and subcontractors
  • Partnering with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Maintaining accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the corporate safety program

The Successful Applicant

A successful Safety Manager should have:

  • Approximately 5+ years of safety experience with a general contractor in active construction environments
  • Proven experience supporting projects valued at $20M+
  • OSHA 500 and OSHA 30 certifications required
  • CPT certifications in fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, and excavation
  • Current First Aid & CPR certifications
  • CQM‑C certification
  • Hands‑on experience working under USACE EM 385‑1‑1 Safety and Health Standards
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening (including MVR where applicable)
  • US Citizenship required
