The Safety Manager will join a mature safety organization and work closely with leadership to elevate safety performance across the portfolio, making the Safety Manager role both visible and impactful.

Job Description

The Safety Manager is responsible for supporting and enforcing safety programs across one or multiple active construction sites.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining site‑specific safety programs in active construction environments
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, USACE EM 385‑1‑1, and company safety policies
  • Conducting safety orientations, trainings, audits, and incident investigations
  • Partnering with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Supporting projects ranging from $20M+ in value
  • Roving between multiple sites or serving full‑time on a single project, depending on need



The Safety Manager works closely with project leadership and reports into senior safety directors who oversee corporate safety strategy and daily execution.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Safety Manager brings both technical expertise and personal drive, including:

  • ~5 years of experience with a general contractor in active construction environments
  • Experience supporting projects valued at $20M or greater
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and commercial safety standards
  • OSHA 500 and OSHA 30 certifications
  • CPT certifications in fall protection, confined space, scaffolding, and excavation
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • CQM‑C certification
  • Prior experience with USACE EM 385‑1‑1 safety standards
  • High internal motivation, eagerness to learn, and passion for continuous improvement



Preferred (not required):

  • CHST certification
  • Active GSA badge or other security clearance
  • Asbestos Supervisor or Lead Supervisor certifications
  • NFPA 70 knowledge
