Job Description

  • Lead and support plant‑wide safety initiatives to maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment
  • Administer OSHA and state safety programs including PPE, LOTO, hazard communication, forklift safety, and machine guarding
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and production floor walkthroughs, identifying risks and driving corrective actions
  • Coordinate manufacturing quality procedures, inspections, documentation control, and standardized work instructions
  • Analyze trends related to defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints to support corrective action efforts
  • Lead or support investigations into safety incidents, near misses, quality issues, and non‑conformances
  • Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through completion and verify effectiveness
  • Coordinate and deliver employee safety and quality training programs, including new hire onboarding
  • Maintain accurate training records, OSHA logs, audit documentation, and compliance reports
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, 7S, and visual workplace programs

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing safety, quality, or industrial compliance roles
  • OSHA 30‑Hour General Industry certification (required)
  • Experience with OSHA compliance, audits, investigations, and corrective action management
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards, CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train, influence, and engage shop‑floor teams
