Job Description

As a Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Drive new business development activities across targeted OEM markets.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing strategic customer accounts.
  • Build relationships with engineering, procurement, and operations stakeholders.
  • Identify new applications and opportunities for custom metal manufacturing solutions.
  • Present technical solutions and communicate product capabilities to customers.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to develop manufacturable solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial presentations.
  • Support customers from initial concept through production launch.
  • Develop and maintain customer pipelines, forecasts, and CRM data.
  • Create sales processes and contribute to the development of the organisation's commercial infrastructure.
  • Conduct customer visits and represent the business at industry events.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to execute growth initiatives.
  • Deliver revenue growth and support market expansion efforts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Sales Engineer will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, OEM, metal components, metal stamping, fabrication, or engineered products environments.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand customer applications.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-facing experience in sales, applications engineering, account management, or business development.
  • Ability to balance commercial awareness with technical problem-solving.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Desire to help build and improve sales processes.
  • Proven organisational and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
