This role is responsible for executing month end close processes, preparing financial reports, and performing detailed reconciliations and analyses to ensure accuracy across the general ledger, balance sheet, and key accounts. It also supports forecasting, revenue recognition, and continuous improvement initiatives while assisting with AR and AP activities and handling ad hoc accounting requests.

They require robust accounting support to ensure accurate financial reporting, particularly around inventory, cost accounting, and revenue recognition tied to production activities.

Job Description

  • Execute month end close processes, including preparing journal entries and conducting detailed account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting by preparing consolidated statements and related schedules
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within the general ledger, identifying and resolving variances promptly.
  • Complete bank and intercompany reconciliations to ensure accuracy across accounts.
  • Analyze work in process and apply percentage of completion accounting to ensure compliant and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Perform inventory reconciliations and assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
  • Contribute to budgeting activities, including monthly projections, quarterly forecasts, and the annual operating plan.
  • Drive process improvements by enhancing accounting procedures, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Provide support across accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as required.
  • Handle ad hoc accounting tasks and reporting requests on an ongoing basis.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2 to 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or project based environment
  • Strong understanding of month end close, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience with revenue recognition, ideally percentage of completion accounting
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and resolve issues efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
