Job Description

The Senior Director of Estimating - Federal Projects - MD will:

  • Lead all estimating and preconstruction activities across multiple project teams
  • Take full ownership of the estimating division, with all PMs and estimators reporting in
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators while scaling the department for growth
  • Oversee estimates for $1M-$50M renovation and design‑build projects
  • Manage federal cost estimates using RS Means and agency‑specific software
  • Leverage a strong subcontractor network to support competitive, accurate pricing
  • Support increased self‑perform work, particularly within electrical scopes
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership on strategic pursuits and pipeline planning

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Director of Estimating - Federal Projects - MD will have:

  • 10+ years of experience with a general contractor (subcontractor background also considered)
  • Proven experience in both estimating and preconstruction leadership roles
  • Federal construction estimating experience, including use of federal software tools
  • Strong subcontractor relationships, ideally with deep electrical trade knowledge
  • Proficiency in RS Means, Excel, and detailed cost modeling
  • Experience delivering renovation and design‑build projects valued $1M-$50M
  • U.S. Citizenship required
