Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Design detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bills of materials for custom automated processing equipment.
  • Partner with mechanical engineers on motor selection, sensors, machine layout, and overall system design.
  • Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate the latest automation hardware and networking solutions.
  • Support the build, testing, and commissioning phases on the production floor and assist with installation efforts when needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in designing industrial electrical control systems.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar electrical design tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with PLCs, distributed I/O, and industrial Ethernet networks.
  • Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley CompactLogix, safety PLCs, and integrated motion solutions.
  • Understanding of SCCR, short‑circuit analysis, and relevant electrical standards.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL508A.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative technical culture.
