Job Description

  • Prepare conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for projects $5M+
  • Lead preconstruction efforts from pursuit through GMP and buyout
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
  • Collaborate with ownership, operations, and project management teams
  • Participate in budgeting, value engineering, and scope reviews
  • Assist in developing bid strategies and winning work
  • Mentor junior team members within preconstruction and operations

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction management
  • Proven experience bidding and winning projects $5M+
  • Background across multiple commercial sectors; healthcare experience a plus
  • Stable work history (non-jumpy candidates strongly preferred)
  • Team-oriented mindset; collaborative personality over lone-wolf style
  • Based in the Upstate SC market (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, etc.)
  • Open to relocation; local candidates will move faster
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
