About Our Client

A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, External Reporting to lead SEC reporting and compliance for the global manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Director of External Reporting, the successful candidate will serve as a key member of the corporate finance team, partnering closely with external auditors and internal segment leaders globally to process and report for SEC filing and ensuring compliance in accordance with GAAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on senior manager looking to move into an industry role from public accounting to lead the external reporting department for a global business.

Job Description

    • Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of external financial reports, including SEC filings and related disclosures.
    • Drive the development, maintenance, and implementation of accounting policies while ensuring compliance with evolving accounting and regulatory requirements.
    • Serve as the technical accounting leader, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, policy interpretation, and new accounting standards adoption.
    • Partner with executive leadership, Investor Relations, and the Audit Committee to communicate key accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory updates.
    • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, while supporting critical reporting areas such as lease accounting, impairment analyses, and cash flow reporting.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the external reporting team while driving process improvement initiatives and finance transformation efforts across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • 8-10 years of experience with US GAAP, SEC reporting, audit/assurance.
  • Experience working within one of the Big 4 public accounting firms.
  • Ability to lead a small team.
