About Our Client

The organization is an advanced manufacturing company specializing in precision CNC machining, metal additive manufacturing, and product development for aerospace, defense, medical, and other high‑reliability industries.

Job Description

  • Act as the organization's primary authority on CNC manufacturing strategy, advanced process development, and complex multi‑axis programming, providing technical direction on the most consequential initiatives and challenges.
  • Independently own high‑complexity CNC manufacturing and programming efforts, applying deep technical judgment, originality, and strategic thinking to deliver robust, scalable solutions rather than short‑term fixes.
  • Recognize cross‑functional manufacturing inefficiencies and recurring programming constraints, driving systemic improvements that elevate consistency, capability, and performance across teams and operations.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain structured manufacturing frameworks that govern CNC programming, tooling strategies, fixturing concepts, and end‑to‑end process development workflows.
  • Establish and oversee departmental standards for setup documentation within ProShop ERP, defining expectations for organization, completeness, traceability, and accuracy of tooling lists, work‑holding details, program references, and production notes.
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation functions as a dependable, audit‑ready source of institutional knowledge that supports repeatability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead meaningful gains in manufacturing quality performance through disciplined process control, including advanced inspection methods, in‑process validation techniques, and data‑driven statistical controls.
  • Define machining safety protocols and quality governance models for complex multi‑axis environments, aligning operational practices with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and recognized industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated capability to transition manufacturing programs seamlessly from early prototype volumes (1-10 units) into sustained production runs (100-1,000+ units), including the creation of robust processes, formal documentation, and effective knowledge transfer to operators and technicians.
  • Advanced expertise in multi‑axis CNC machine programming and operation, with a proven record of defining enterprise‑wide manufacturing standards and driving complex technical initiatives across functional boundaries.
  • Experience in contract manufacturing environments with direct customer interaction within regulated quality systems (such as AS9100, ISO 13485, or comparable frameworks) is highly valued.
  • Extensive hands‑on proficiency with Hypermill and/or ESPRIT is strongly preferred, along with in‑depth familiarity with Haas, Okuma, and/or Heidenhain CNC controls at the parameter, troubleshooting, and diagnostics level.
  • Active participation in external technical ecosystems-through published work, conference speaking engagements, industry consortiums, standards committees, or patent authorship-is considered a differentiating qualification at this level.
