Job Description

  • Drive end-to-end product development efforts, converting market needs and customer requirements into commercially successful, manufacturable security products.
  • Develop, administer, and optimize product configurator models, rules, and logic to streamline quoting, configuration, and order-entry processes.
  • Create, verify, and standardize installation guides, technical documentation, user manuals, and product communications for internal stakeholders and field personnel.
  • Direct the design and engineering of sophisticated mechanical systems from concept through production, balancing performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Coach and support junior engineers, designers, and technicians through technical mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional development teams while leading design reviews and translating customer expectations into clear engineering requirements and executable project plans.
  • Conduct detailed structural and load analyses, perform finite element simulations, select appropriate materials, and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong mechanical and structural experience with problem-solving and solution-driven thinking
  • Ability to manage complex NPD engineering projects (Short and Long Term)
  • Engineering Degree Required - Mechanical preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant mechanical design experience - Metals manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of measurement tools, GD&T, FEA, etc.
  • 5-10+ years of New Product Development
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of ERP and Microsoft Suite, and Project management tools
