Job Description

This Senior Mechanical Engineer will be:

  • Partnering with senior technical leadership to master advanced mold design principles
  • Applying proprietary mold design methodologies across lens and glass types
  • Leading the design and development of complex precision molds
  • Spearheading initiatives to enable larger-diameter lens manufacturing
  • Creating detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Analyzing mold performance data and driving continuous improvements
  • Troubleshooting complex molding challenges and developing solutions
  • Mentoring engineers and strengthening organizational mold design knowledge
  • Supporting new product introductions with innovative mold solutions

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design or precision manufacturing
  • Strong expertise in CAD, tolerance analysis, and GD&T
  • Deep understanding of materials, thermal behavior, and manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical development projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with mold design, tooling, or precision optics preferred
  • Advanced degree or simulation experience a plus
