Job Description

Reporting directly into the Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead mechanical design and development of disposable and durable medical device components
  • Collaborate with clinical, quality, manufacturing, and external partners to translate concepts into production ready designs
  • Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications using SolidWorks
  • Drive prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements
  • Perform detailed engineering analyses including tolerance analysis, risk assessments, DOE, and statistical evaluations
  • Develop and release documentation in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to verification and validation activities, including protocol development, test execution, and reporting
  • Maintain complete and accurate design history documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and external development partners

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of hands‑on product development experience in a regulated environment
  • Strong background in designing medical devices, ideally Class II or Class III products
  • Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical design best practices
  • Experience with high volume disposables and/or electromechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of verification & validation processes and clinical or lab testing
  • Comfortable working onsite in a fast paced, development focused environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor others and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
