Job Description

  • Lead MEP subcontractor selection, scope review, bid tabs, and contract alignment.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day performance of all MEP/FP subcontractors, including schedule, sequencing, and quality.
  • Direct BIM/VDC coordination with field leadership to ensure multi‑trade alignment and model accuracy.
  • Review and approve all MEP submittals, change orders, long‑lead items, and equipment delivery logs.
  • Conduct regular MEP site walks and drive schedule updates, manpower planning, and issue resolution.
  • Manage testing, inspections, commissioning activities, and approvals from AHJs and utility providers.
  • Coordinate with owner‑retained MEP consultants, testing agencies, and third‑party commissioning teams.
  • Lead closeout: as‑builts, O&Ms, attic stock, punch lists, and final MEP/FP turnover documentation.
  • Ensure cross‑trade integration (e.g., mechanical + electrical requirements, curtain wall + security/hardware).

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/engineering or related field
  • 10+ years experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Complete understanding of BIM/VDC coordination including various hit detection programs
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and LEED requirements
