Job Description

  • Provide overall leadership and full ownership of complex health care construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead and coordinate project activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and profitability.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, leading owner meetings and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee project schedules, procurement, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving issue resolution and maintaining project momentum.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure adherence to quality control standards and safety initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution across all phases of construction.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture aligned with company values.
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to repeat business and client retention.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and actively support the company's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
  • Ensure successful project closeout, turnover, and final financial reconciliation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with a general contractor
  • Experience leading healthcare construction projects such as hospitals, medical office buildings, and healthcare renovations, from start to finish.
  • Must have experience managing projects in excess of $50M.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, including work in occupied facilities, ICRA, and life safety compliance.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and other construction management platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop project teams.
  • Excellent communication, client management, and problem-solving skills.
  • LEED, ASHE, or other healthcare-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety and project excellence.
