Job Description

The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Support the processing, validation, and documentation of new products, molds, processes, and equipment
  • Contribute to the quoting process for tools and parts
  • Provide training to Process Technicians on resolving processing-related issues
  • Drive optimization of manufacturing processes
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through enhancements in materials, processes, tooling, and automation
  • Assist in daily production activities and troubleshoot existing processes as needed
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction
  • Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) when required
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers as necessary
  • Support efforts to maintain and promote a safe working environment

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Process Engineer will have a background of:

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of injection molding processes, including scientific molding and validation methodologies (e.g., IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Exposure to industry standards and quality systems, with a willingness to learn automotive requirements (e.g., PPAP, PFMEA, APQP)
  • Experience with process automation and secondary operations such as welding, decorating, or machining
  • Strong understanding of quality and SPC systems
  • Project management experience from concept through production
  • Effective team collaboration and communication skills
  • RJG training or experience is a plus
