Senior Project Engineer - Diverse Commercial Construction

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for:

• Lead project planning efforts from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring milestones, budgets, and schedules are achieved.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and key project stakeholders.
• Drive project scheduling activities and proactively identify opportunities to mitigate delays and maintain project momentum.
• Oversee project procurement strategies to ensure materials and equipment are sourced on time and within budget.
• Monitor project risks and implement solutions to minimize financial, operational, and scheduling impacts.
• Coordinate internal project teams, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage change order negotiations and approvals while protecting project profitability and client relationships.
• Conduct regular project site visits to verify quality standards, safety compliance, and overall project progress.
• Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and contract administration activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Partner with Superintendents to develop and execute project work plans that maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Identify and pursue value engineering opportunities to deliver cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Mentor and support junior project team members, fostering professional development and leadership growth.
• Maintain accountability for project budgets, cash flow forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Deliver exceptional client service by providing proactive communication and timely resolution of project challenges.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch list management, warranty documentation, and final client turnover.
• Collaborate with company leadership on strategic planning, staffing needs, and operational improvements within the division.
• Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, building codes, permits, and regulatory standards.
• Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across project teams.
• Review and analyze project performance metrics to drive operational excellence and improve future project outcomes.
• Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, proposal reviews, and relationship-building initiatives.
