Due to continued growth within their aviation division, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale airport construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to oversee highly visible projects including terminal improvements, concourse expansions, aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, cargo buildings, and other aviation-related construction projects.

Job Description

  • Lead aviation construction projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for airport authorities, airlines, consultants, and ownership groups.
  • Coordinate construction activities in active airport environments while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, buyout, contract administration, and change orders.
  • Lead client meetings and provide executive-level project updates.
  • Ensure compliance with all airport security, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving schedule and budget performance.
  • Mentor junior project management staff and contribute to the growth of the aviation division.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Prior experience managing aviation, airport, transportation, infrastructure, or other highly complex commercial projects.
  • Experience with terminal renovations, concourse expansions, aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, cargo buildings, or airside support facilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated construction environment.
