About Our Client

The Senior Project Manager (Retail) will lead the execution of large-scale ground-up retail and grocery construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Job Description

  • Manage ground-up retail and grocery construction projects from award through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall financial performance
  • Lead contract administration, procurement strategies, and subcontractor management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and field operations teams
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule objectives are achieved
  • Mentor Project Managers and support the development of internal talent
  • Maintain strong communication with executive leadership regarding project status and performance

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Strong background in big-box retail, grocery, or similar high-volume commercial sectors
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Stable career history with established commercial general contractors
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to lead multiple stakeholders while driving schedule and operational performance
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
