Job Description

The Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction planning through final completion and owner turnover.
  • Managing project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Developing and maintaining schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Driving project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability goals.
  • Overseeing change orders, project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitating communication between clients, architects, engineers, municipalities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior Project Managers, helping develop their technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Collaborating with leadership on design-build and negotiated projects, contributing to preconstruction and client relationship efforts.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Construction Project Manager will have:

  • 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior project management professionals.
  • Strong background in education, civic, municipal, athletic, healthcare, correctional, commercial, or similar public-sector construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $1M to $40M in value.
  • Strong understanding of estimating, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and change order management.
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software such as Primavera, MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of design-build, negotiated, and collaborative project delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
