About Our Client

Our client is a design build general contractor focusing on the light industrial, manufacturing, senior-living, commercial, retail, and healthcare markets. Their integrated model reduces risk, shortens timelines, streamlines communication, and establishes budgets early in the process. With a strong project backlog, our client is looking to hire an experienced SPM.

Job Description

  • Manage project objectives by balancing contract requirements, financial constraints, schedule expectations, and overall cost considerations.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination among Owners, their representatives, Trade Partners, and the on‑site Superintendent.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the Superintendent to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to organizational quality standards.
  • Make informed decisions rooted in a thorough understanding of the project's progress, integrating multiple moving parts to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Align project results with the expectations of the Owner and Architect while controlling schedule, budget, and cost factors.
  • Proactively seek and cultivate new business connections that can lead to future project engagements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5-10+ years of progressive experience in project management with experience working on commercial construction projects
  • Experience in leadership and/or management of a team
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, market conditions, and subcontractor trades
  • Proficiency in software and project management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and decision-making abilities
