Job Description

The Senior Project Manager - Retail will:

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously from planning through completion.
  • Lead preconstruction activities including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project planning.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, subcontractor procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Direct project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability management.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Lead project teams, including Superintendents and project support staff.
  • Drive quality assurance, safety compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, accounting, architects, engineers, and field teams.
  • Ensure successful project closeout and client satisfaction on every engagement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Project Manager - Retail should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Recent and significant retail construction experience is required.
  • Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects.
  • Strong client-facing leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project financial management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Procore preferred, including budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and document control.
  • Ability to commute to Rockland, MA and oversee projects throughout New England.
