Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage numerous concurrent construction projects across multiple states and jurisdictions
  • Serve as a leadership resource and escalation point for the project management team
  • Mentor, coach, and support Project Managers while maintaining responsibility for your own projects
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules from preconstruction through closeout
  • Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans when necessary
  • Oversee permitting, inspections, subcontractor coordination, project buyout, and procurement activities
  • Manage project financials, budgets, forecasting, change orders, and reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and traveling field teams
  • Lead client communications and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor company-wide project performance and proactively identify issues before they become significant problems
  • Support punch list completion, turnover, and project closeout activities
  • Operate independently and resolve issues without requiring frequent escalation to executive leadership

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant, proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within commercial construction
  • Extensive national construction experience spanning multiple states, municipalities, permitting authorities, and subcontractor markets
  • A track record of successfully managing multiple simultaneous projects rather than one large project at a time
  • Strong experience within:
    • National retail construction
    • Mall-based construction
    • Tenant improvement projects
    • Store rollout programs
    • Refresh and renovation programs
    • Restaurant construction
    • Fast-paced multi-site commercial projects
  • Advanced expertise in project scheduling, construction sequencing, schedule management, and schedule recovery
  • Experience mentoring Project Managers and providing leadership across a project management team
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Project financial management
    • Subcontractor procurement and management
    • Permitting and inspections
    • Change orders
    • Client communication
    • Punch lists and closeouts
  • Deep industry relationships with subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and field personnel developed through years of national construction experience
  • The ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with high accountability and visibilit
