This Senior Quality Engineer role is responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems while ensuring ongoing compliance with industry and customer standards. You'll act as a key interface between customers, auditors and internal teams, driving corrective action and continuous improvement across the business.

Job Description

  • Maintain quality systems, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Represent the business during third‑party, customer and regulatory audits, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Act as the primary quality liaison for customers, resolving quality issues and managing customer complaints.
  • Ensure customer and regulatory quality requirements are effectively flowed down into internal processes and documentation.
  • Manage and monitor corrective action programmes, ensuring root causes are addressed and recurrence is prevented.
  • Develop quality plans for new product introduction using APQP/PPAP methodologies.
  • Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports in line with AS9102 and customer requirements.
  • Review contracts, purchase orders and engineering changes to ensure quality requirements are captured and met.
  • Participate in MRB activities, supporting disposition decisions and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing and operations to drive continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5-7 years' experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with customer quality release programmes (e.g. FAA, GE or similar).
  • Proven ability to manage audits, customer interfaces and corrective action systems.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
