With continued growth and a strong project backlog, we offer long-term career stability, technical leadership opportunities, and exposure to high-profile infrastructure projects.Job DescriptionLead the engineering and design of substations ranging from 69kV, 115kV, 138kV, 161kV, 230kV, 345kV, and up to 500kVSupport greenfield and brownfield AIS and GIS substation projects for utility and infrastructure clientsDevelop and review substation physical layouts, equipment arrangements, grounding plans, conduit/raceway designs, and cable routingCoordinate substation equipment specifications including transformers, breakers, switches, bus systems, relays, CTs, PTs, and associated HV equipmentReview and approve engineering calculations including grounding studies, lightning protection, voltage drop, cable sizing, and station service analysisCoordinate with protection & controls, civil, structural, and transmission line engineering teams throughout project executionOversee engineering deliverables including construction packages, BOMs, technical specifications, and design documentationEnsure compliance with utility standards, IEEE, NEC, NESC, and applicable industry codesProvide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designersInterface directly with utility clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders during project executionSupport project planning, budgeting, scheduling, proposal development, and technical reviewsProvide construction and field support including RFIs, outage coordination, and issue resolutionSupport renewable energy interconnection and grid modernization projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
