As a mid-sized company, they are committed to innovation and providing exceptional services to their clients while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.Job DescriptionDevelop physical design packages for AIS and GIS substations ranging from 12kV-500kV+.Produce detailed engineering drawings including:General arrangement plansPlan and elevation viewsEquipment layoutsControl building layoutsConduit and trench plansGrounding layoutsLightning protection plansBus and rigid bus layoutsStructural steel and foundation drawingsPrepare material take-offs (MTOs) and Bills of Material (BOMs).Coordinate physical design with Protection & Controls, Civil/Structural, Transmission Line, and Project Management teams.Perform site walkdowns and incorporate field conditions into design packages.Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with client standards, NEC, NESC, IEEE, and utility specifications.Support construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and incorporating as-built revisions.Lead design reviews with internal teams and clients.Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance on drafting standards and best practices.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
