Job Description

The Senior Superintendent - Historic Preservation - Sterling, VA will be responsible for:

  • Serve as the Lead Superintendent on a $20M historic preservation project with a 12-18 month duration
  • Oversee all day-to-day field operations, including scheduling, safety, quality, and subcontractor coordination
  • Manage work involving historic restoration, exterior façade, scaffolding, and sensitive site logistics
  • Coordinate closely with project management, owners, inspectors, and government stakeholders
  • Maintain site documentation using Procore, scheduling tools, and daily reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, local, and site-specific security requirements
  • Support occasional night or off-hour work as required by project constraints

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Superintendent - Historic Preservation - Sterling, VA should have:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading $20M-$25M+ projects from start to finish
  • Strong background in historic preservation, restoration, government, or institutional work
  • Experience with new construction and renovation (minimum of 3 new construction projects preferred)
  • Proficiency with Procore, P6, and Excel
  • Background in skilled trades and/or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to pass a background check and AOC badging; active clearances are a plus
