Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities for a ground-up multifamily project, from vertical construction through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, including subcontractor management, field coordination, and workforce planning
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying risks and adjusting sequencing to meet key milestones
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and implement quality control measures across all phases of construction
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, ownership, and design teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
  • Identify and resolve field issues, delays, and coordination challenges to maintain project momentum
  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and workmanship standards
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation to track progress and support project execution

The Successful Applicant

  • 20+ years of experience in multifamily construction, with a strong focus on ground-up projects
  • Extensive experience building wood-frame / garden-style apartment communities (required)
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale projects as the lead superintendent, with full ownership of site operations
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, subcontractor management, jobsite safety, and QC/QA processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to run teams, hold subcontractors accountable, and drive performance
  • Hard-nosed, hands-on builder mentality with the ability to operate independently and make critical field decisions
  • Strong communication skills with experience working alongside ownership and senior leadership
  • Interest and capability to grow into a regional or multi-project leadership role
