About Our Client

A growing industrial distribution and solutions organization is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead a multi-functional branch operation. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing profitability, developing employees, and ensuring operational excellence across sales, warehouse, procurement, and value-added service functions.

Job Description

Branch Leadership & Business Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop branch personnel to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
  • Drive customer retention efforts while identifying opportunities to win new business.
  • Foster a performance-oriented culture focused on growth, accountability, and customer success.
  • Establish branch goals and monitor progress against key performance indicators.



Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for major customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of service, product, and delivery concerns.
  • Support quotation activities, order processing, expediting efforts, and account management.
  • Build long-term customer partnerships through responsive and solution-oriented service.



Purchasing & Inventory Management

  • Oversee procurement activities to support customer demand and inventory objectives.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability and on-time fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and purchasing strategies to optimize operational efficiency.



Operations & Distribution Oversight

  • Direct warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory control, shipping, and fulfillment.
  • Ensure operational processes support safety, productivity, and customer expectations.
  • Maintain efficient workflows and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the branch.



Value-Added Services Management

  • Oversee assembly and customized service programs designed to support customer requirements.
  • Manage resources, quality standards, and workflow associated with value-added operations.
  • Ensure service offerings meet productivity and customer satisfaction goals.



Supplier Partnership Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and vendors.
  • Collaborate with supplier partners to improve service levels and support sales growth.
  • Leverage supplier resources to enhance branch performance and customer outcomes.



Strategic Planning

  • Establish short- and long-term business plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Implement initiatives that support revenue growth, operational excellence, and market expansion.
  • Evaluate market opportunities and recommend strategies for continued branch development.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of leadership experience within industrial distribution, manufacturing, operations, procurement, technical sales, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing teams, customer relationships, and operational performance.
  • Experience with industrial products, automation solutions, power transmission components, bearings, or comparable technical product categories is highly valued.

  • Excellent analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in technical or industrial settings.

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience utilizing ERP systems, business software, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with distribution management platforms is preferred.



Education

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
