Job Description

As the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive working environment across active construction sites.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations
  • Implement and enforce company safety policies and site-specific safety plans
  • Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing workforce education
  • Identify potential hazards and drive corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, and documentation
  • Partner with project leadership to embed a strong safety culture on site

The Successful Applicant

For the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) role, we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety-focused role within construction or a related industry
  • Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Experience developing safety programs, procedures, and training materials
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification strongly preferred
