They have an FDA approved device that is live in the US, Europe & Asia and they're looking to further grow their R&D team with this hire, and to continue their growth throughout 2026.Job DescriptionThis client is looking for a Software Architect of Electrophysiology Navigation & Mapping Systems to help define and develop next-generation electrophysiology navigation and therapy guidance systems. The key responsibilities for the Software Architect of Electrophysiology Navigation & Mapping Systems will include but are not limited to:Serve as the software architecture lead for next-generation electrophysiology navigation and mapping initiatives.Define software architectures, interfaces, implementation strategies, and integration roadmaps for complex medical device platforms.Develop, review, and contribute directly to software branches supporting prototype, investigational, and commercial system development.Translate electrophysiology workflows and clinical requirements into scalable software architectures.Lead development of software frameworks supporting:real-time cardiac anatomy visualizationcatheter navigation and localizationelectroanatomical mappingtherapy visualizationlesion annotationprocedural guidance and workflow automationArchitect integration between cardiac ablation systems and navigation platforms, including:communication protocolsreal-time data streamingsynchronizationsystem state managementcybersecurity considerationsProvide technical leadership and architectural guidance to internal development teams and external engineering partners.Evaluate technical approaches, perform design reviews, and ensure long-term scalability and maintainability of software platforms.Support development of future mapping technologies, including integration of electrical mapping engines with image-based anatomical navigation.Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams to deliver safe and effective medical device software.Ensure software architectures align with IEC 62304 and medical device software development practices.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
