Senior Project Manager / Project ExecutiveLocationRichmond, VA

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced construction leader to oversee and drive the growth of an established Richmond office. This individual will be responsible for operational leadership, team development, project execution, client relationship management, and long-term business growth while working closely with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Richmond office and provide strategic direction for future growth.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, with a primary focus on data centre construction and related interiors work.
  • Manage office profitability, project performance, financial forecasting, and backlog execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Mentor and lead project managers, coordinators, superintendents, foremen, and administrative staff.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand market share and revenue.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop additional staff as the office grows.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate directly with executive leadership on operational strategy and business planning.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that aligns with company values and long-term objectives.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements to Apply

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Operations Manager, or similar leadership role within commercial construction.
  • Strong track record managing complex construction projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience overseeing office operations, financial performance, and project portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and drive repeat business.
  • Background in data centres, commercial interiors, tenant improvements, healthcare, education, or related construction sectors preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring project teams and developing future leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Construction Management degree, technical certification, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help grow and shape a business unit.
