Job Description

The Senior Estimator/Estimator will:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid packages for commercial construction projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate project budgets.
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals and compile competitive bid submissions.
  • Collaborate with project management, operations, and executive leadership throughout preconstruction activities.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective construction solutions.
  • Manage estimating activities for both renovation and ground-up construction projects.
  • Support design-build and traditional delivery projects across a variety of commercial sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting, scope development, procurement planning, and project handoff activities.
  • Contribute to pursuit efforts supporting a growing pipeline of upcoming commercial work.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Estimator/Estimator should have:

  • 7-10 years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
  • Experience estimating commercial projects ranging approximately from $5M to $20M.
  • Background working on renovation, ground-up, or new construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, pricing, and bid development.
  • Ability to review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to create comprehensive estimates.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
